Depending on where you live in the world, education and subsequently, teaching is viewed differently. Some families regard education as a necessary requirement before you even think about starting your life, meaning all members of the family must have at least a Bachelors Degree. Some families do not put the same emphasis on education but rather on manual work and starting a family as soon as possible.
Here are some thoughts on education and teaching from around the world.

Many organisations, such as this one here create awareness on the importance of education and the plight of the teachers who work hard to educate our future generations.
Unfortunately, there are some areas in the world where a large proportion of the society is either poorly educated or illiterate. This has been a major concern for many years and in some cases, progress is very slow. This is mostly the case in third world countries that have larger populations for which they have difficulty providing for. The poster above shows the number of people who have either not completed their basic education (which should be until high school education) or have difficulty completing their education due to the conflicts that are happening in their countries
The problem with education exists around the world. The extent of the problems vary depending on where we look. Most of the problems with education is with lack of funding for school supplies, teachers, and even the school building itself.
Children around the world sometimes have to suffer for an education. I remember when when I went to school in the UK, I used to catch two buses to go to school. This wasn't a bad thing, I quite enjoyed it, sometimes I didn't catch the second bus and would walk the rest of the way home. I would pass by open fields with horses and pass by houses and shops, which was nice. looking at the video above I feel so thankful for being in a country which provided me with a top rate education without hardship. These children face all kinds of hardship to receive an education which could be of poor quality due to lack of funding.
There is still hope. Foundations around the world raise money to build schools for children in poverty stricken areas. It is vital that we continue to do this. Every child deserves a better future. This starts with education.
Whatever the circumstances are regarding education, teachers are just as important. A teacher must have the necessary skills that enable them to teach their students well. A good education (whether you have a good system or not) in my opinion starts with the teacher. The teacher must know how to deliver information, open up their minds, inspire them, and in some cases teach them about life and the world they live in. A teacher can prepare their students for the next phase in their lives by teaching them all the skills they need.
Their efforts and hard work are not for nothing, and by investing in our teachers we are also investing in our future. An education system on its own is not enough, a great teacher makes the cycle complete. So let's all celebrate the importance of teachers...
I took my education as well as my educators for granted. I did not see how important both were until I really explored the issue. I was fortunate enough to enjoy a great education with amazing teacher, who till this day I remember. I still remember my primary school teacher. He was the tallest man I had ever seen (well back then anyway), I remember his concern when I used to get a pain in my knee and tumble over suddenly even when I was just standing in line. I remember him discussing that with my mum and explaining to her that these were just growth pains and I would grow out of it. I remember my high school dorm room teacher. She took me aside one day when I was upset and offered to hear my problems. These teachers didn't have to show their concern outside of the classroom, they didn't have to lend me their ears or extend a helping hand, but they did, and I appreciate that now more than I did back then. If I could go back I would say thank you for being there, and I appreciate you for it. My only hope now is that I can be even half of one of them.
